Haitian Creole or Kreyòl ayisyen, is the largest spoken Creole language in the world. It is the main language of Haiti, used in literature, radio, TV, public buildings and official communications. Haitian Creole is influenced by West African languages particularly Ewe, Fon and Wolof and French. Haitian Creole is spoken by over 9 million people in Haiti, where it is an official language alongside side French and in Cuba, Dominican Republic, United States, Brazil (due to Haitian immigration), Bahamas, France and across the Caribbean.
